inspiration: all ombre everything

If you're like me and are indulging in this ombre trend, here are a collection of some great ombre 'picks' that I've found on the internet recently. Earlier this season, we tried out a temporary dip-dyed hair diy HERE. Perhaps we will make another dip dyed diy soon, since this trend is still going strong!

inspiration: dominique falla

Dominique Falla is a "tactile typographer" that creates intricate wall art using just thread and nails. This would be a great DIY but is probably MUCH more difficult than it looks! Maybe it would be fun to try with tacks on a corkboard? You can see more of Dominique's work on her blog.

april's best DIY projects

1. Thumbtack Art Diy: add metallic shine to any room with this incredibly easy project.
2. $3 Nightstands: I like them with and without the stain, but you could really do whatever you want with these since each box was $1.
3. Rope Vases: an easy way to incorporate the neon + neutral trend into your living space.
4. Ikea Box Shelf: works for any colour palette and only requires boxes, paint and black clips! (make sure you click translate so you can read the instructions in English!)
5. Goal List: this rotating goal list would be great for studying, weekly projects, or a chore list for you and your roommates!
6. Neon Wood Magnets: (can you tell I'm loving neon this spring?) this project is quick, easy, and adds a stylish touch to any fridge.

Alison and I are in exams so apologies if the blog is more vacant than usual!

DIY: temporary pastel tips

The fad of coloured tips has been present for a while now, and we knew that it was something we wanted to explore! Temporary pastel tips are a perfect thing to try if you're looking for something new and fun to do with your hair without the commitment of permanent hair dye. The best part about it - how super easy it is! It took us about a half hour to do each of our heads (about 5-6 different pieces of hair each)! If you have a few spare moments, or need a break from boredom give it a try, you won't be sorry, trust us! It will also look great when paired with your sun kissed skin in the upcoming summer months - so why not test it out in preparation now?
